Position Summary: We are seeking a strong communicator and highly organized Project Manager to manage grant-funded energy projects, support commercial execution activities, utility customer engagement, and performance reporting. This role will coordinate cross-functional workstreams to ensure projects, applications, and reporting deliverables are completed on time and with high quality. 

Location: Chicago, hybrid  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Manage execution of medium to large scale deployments from kick-off to final closeout, including projects with grant compliance and reporting requirements 

• Build and maintain project plans and timelines; track milestones and flag risks 

• Prepare and manage performance reporting for active deployments; track performance metrics for deployed systems and package them into clear, audience-appropriate formats for customers and other stakeholders 

• Coordinate across Commercial, Engineering, field deployment team, finance, utility customers, and government stakeholders to align timelines, requirements, and deliverables.  

• Support commercial operations by managing pipeline tracking, improving data quality, and increasing process standardization  

• Provide coverage and support for standing utility customer calls, including tracking action items, coordinating follow-ups, and ensuring commercial priorities are advanced.  

• Maintain accurate project documentation, data trackers, reporting templates, and dashboards to support transparent execution and decision-making.  

Required Qualifications:  

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in project management, commercial execution, engineering, energy policy, utility operations, consulting, or related field.  

• Demonstrated project management experience, including coordinating timelines, tracking deliverables, managing cross-functional stakeholders, and driving workstreams to completion. 

• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data, trackers, performance reports, and project documentation.  

• Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear action plans and deliverables.  

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Experience working at a utility, particularly in distribution planning, standards, or regulatory functions.  

• Background in engineering, energy policy, utility distribution planning, regulatory work, or related technical field. 

• Experience with a state or federal energy office, grant-funded energy programs, or public funding processes.  

• Grant application or compliance experience.  

• Experience in consulting, software deployments, business analytics, or data management.
